Direct answer: SpringWell water softeners are sold under the name SpringWell Water Filtration, which lists its corporate office at 2361 Mason Ave, Suite 120, Daytona Beach, Florida 32117. SpringWell sells direct to homeowners online rather than through dealers: its About page says “No quotes or in-home sales visits. The price you see is what you pay,” and promises “free shipping, straight from our factory to your door.” The same page describes the systems as “made in the US” with “certified components.” SpringWell does not publish who manufactures its control valves, tanks or resin, and we do not guess.

Publisher boundary: Water System Guide is an independent research publisher, not a SpringWell retailer or affiliate. This page uses SpringWell’s About, contact, warranty and salt-softener product pages, its SS1/SS4/SS+ installation instructions and its Help Center, reviewed October 15, 2026. “Made in the US” and “certified components” are SpringWell’s own claims; SpringWell’s pages do not name a certifier or a plant, and we could not verify either.

The company behind the name

SpringWell’s pages identify the business as SpringWell Water, with the copyright line “© 2026 Springwell Water Filtration.” The contact page lists the “Corporate Office 2361 Mason Ave, Suite 120, Daytona Beach, FL 32117” and the phone number 1-800-589-5592 (SpringWell contact page). The installation instructions give the same number with “customer service is available Mon-Fri 9AM-6PM EST” (SS1/SS4/SS+ installation instructions, PDF page 1).

Florida also appears in the warranty: “The laws of the state of Florida govern these warranties and it may change without notice at any point in time” (SpringWell warranty).

The About page makes three claims about how the products are built and sold (SpringWell About page):

  • “Built for dependable, long-term performance, with certified components, made in the US.”
  • “No quotes or in-home sales visits. The price you see is what you pay.”
  • “Free shipping, straight from our factory to your door, ready to install on your terms.”

It also says SpringWell’s “specialists help you identify the right solution for your home’s specific water, and we’re with you every step of the way through installation.”

What SpringWell does not disclose

For a buyer trying to answer “who makes it,” the gaps matter as much as the claims:

  • Component suppliers. SpringWell’s pages call the control valve an “electronic head” and do not name its maker. The installation guide’s app instructions say to search for “SpringWell” in the app store, while a SpringWell Help Center article refers to “the Legacy View App” for the hardness setting (Help Center). Neither names the valve manufacturer.
  • Plant location. “Made in the US” is stated without a city, state or facility.
  • Certifications. “Certified components” is stated without a standard or certifier. Our SpringWell brand research page separates manufacturer claims from certifier listings.
  • Ownership. We found no SpringWell page describing founders, parent companies or investors.

How SpringWell sells: direct, online, with listed prices

Unlike dealer brands, SpringWell publishes prices. On October 15, 2026, the salt-based softener product page listed the SS1 at $1,606.50, the SS4 at $1,785 and the SS+ at $2,677.50, each shown against a higher regular price ($1,890, $2,100 and $3,150) during a sitewide “15% Off All Systems” promotion (salt softener product page). Those figures are dated: SpringWell’s prices and promotions change. Our SpringWell cost guide covers the full lineup and running costs.

The product page says orders “typically ship within 3 to 5 business days” and that orders over $29 qualify for free shipping. It lists what is in the box for the salt softener: softener tank, brine tank, drain line, MNPT fittings, electronic head, power supply and hose clamp. A bypass valve is offered separately.

Because SpringWell sells direct, installation is the buyer’s responsibility. The installation guide is written step by step for a homeowner or plumber, and it recommends a three-valve bypass that “a licensed plumber can install” if the SpringWell bypass valve was not bought (installation instructions, PDF page 3).

The product families

SpringWell’s water-softening lineup, as listed on its product pages on October 15, 2026:

Family Models What it is
Salt-based water softener SS1, SS4, SS+ Ion-exchange softener with brine tank, 32,000 / 48,000 / 80,000 grains
FutureSoft salt-free FS1, FS4, FS+ Salt-free scale-prevention system; no brine, drain or electricity

2-in-1 filter + salt softener MMV-1, MMV-4 Filtration and softening in one tank
Well water filter + salt softener Combo Well-water iron/sulfur filter plus softener

The SpringWell models comparison sets the specifications side by side, and SpringWell salt softener vs FutureSoft explains the difference between softening and salt-free conditioning.

Who supports the system after purchase

With no dealer in between, SpringWell itself handles support, returns and warranty:

  • Support. Phone 1-800-589-5592; Help Center articles cover salt type, brine tank cleaning, drain lines and app settings.
  • Returns. The product page says SpringWell “accepts returns of all SpringWell-branded items within six (6) months of the original purchase date” if unused and uninstalled, with “a restocking fee of 10%” on approved non-defective returns, up to 25% in some cases.
  • Performance Promise. The product page describes “a 6-month Performance Promise”: “If your system does not perform as expected, please contact our support team.”
  • Warranty. The warranty page offers a lifetime warranty on covered items, 10 years on mineral tanks 14” or larger and 7 years on electronic heads, to “a registered owner” at the original installation location. Plumber fees are excluded. See our SpringWell warranty guide.

What the installation guide shows about the hardware

The SS1/SS4/SS+ installation instructions are the most detailed first-party description of the salt softener itself. They show:

  • An electronic head set up by app. Owners install the “SpringWell” app, select the softener, and set the time of day, regeneration time, water hardness and advanced settings from a phone (installation instructions, PDF pages 14 to 16). The head is powered by a plug-in adapter “that isn’t controlled by a switch,” and the guide shows a “9V battery” connection beneath the display cover (PDF page 9).
  • Factory-recommended settings. Regeneration at 2:00 a.m. by default, a regeneration day override of 14 days, a reserve capacity of 10%, resin grains capacity of 32 (SS1) or 48 (SS4), and a brine refill of 8 minutes (SS1) or 10 minutes (SS4). The guide then has the owner start a regeneration and warns that “you will not be able to use your water for 90 minutes.”
  • Published operating limits. For the SS1 and SS4: 25 to 80 psi, 36 to 120°F, pH 6.5 to 10, 1” connections, an 18” x 33” brine tank, and backwash rates of 2 and 2.4 gpm (PDF page 4).
  • Salt. The brine tank “will need to be filled with 4 to 5 bags of salt pellets” at start-up (PDF page 12).

The PDF was created in October 2020, and SpringWell’s product page links it as the current installation guide. Our SpringWell settings guide goes through the app screens.

What direct sale means for a buyer

Buying from a dealer brand usually means one company sells, installs and services the system. With SpringWell, those roles separate:

  1. SpringWell sells and ships the equipment, provides phone and Help Center support, and handles returns and warranty claims.
  2. You or your plumber install it. The warranty excludes “plumber fees,” and damage from “failure to adhere to the instruction of the manufacturer during transportation, installation, and use” is not covered.
  3. You maintain it: salt, brine tank cleaning and settings. The warranty treats “failure to replace filters or media at the appropriate time” as “neglect.”

That model is why SpringWell can publish prices, and also why the installed cost depends on who does the plumbing.

Well water: ask first

The installation guide warns: “Do not install on well water unless you have spoken to a customer service representative first” (installation instructions, PDF page 4). The warranty page lists well-water conditions (hydrogen sulfide, oil, copper above 1.30 mg/L, iron or manganese) under which “a pre-treatment is highly recommended.”

Questions to ask SpringWell before ordering

  • Which model do you recommend for my hardness, bathrooms and peak flow, and is my water within the published limits?
  • If I am on a well, what pretreatment do you require before the warranty applies?
  • Who makes the electronic head, and which app does my unit use?
  • How do I register the system so the warranty applies to me as the “registered owner”?
